Pro: Luogo ricco di storia e atmosfera, un viaggio nel tempo. Molto curato nell' arredamento e nei dettagli all' interno e all' esterno. Luogo immerso nella natura. Il gestore e i collaboratori molto cordiali e accoglienti, colazione abbondante e ottima.

A taste of paradise

Pro: This gem has always remained in Marco’s family and you can see and feel the true love and care that has preserved it in its authentic beauty for centuries. Marco extends incredible care to his guests, in all respects. It’s genuine Italian hospitality in perfection.

Three sublime days in an authentic area

Pro: Very pittoresque place to stay; old building with a lot of character, well renovated. Old cars, old furniture. Like a museum. Very nice owner, helpful. Also our dogs were very welcome. We were invited to eat pizza with family and friends, which was very special for us. Nice surroundings, hills, castle, hiking. Visited a traditional cheese factory nearby, nice to see the process of making and aging the cheeses. Tip: ask the owner for his home made balsamico . Yummie!!

Contro: Uhhhh?? It is not really a touristic area, so not much English is spoken in the surrounding restaurants etc. However, for us that made it even better. We definitely come back here.

A warm, welcoming rural idyll in a beautiful corner of Italy

Pro: Charming, considerate and welcoming hosts and a tastefully renovated farmhouse of great character in a beautiful, rural setting, utterly peaceful, yet close to the small town of Viano. This corner of Italy is not touristy, but is similar to Tuscany in many other ways. It felt like being a friend of the family and meant it more of a genuine experience of Italy, more so than being in a hotel. Driving into Modena takes about35 minutes and is well worth the visit, being less touristy than many other towns, but with much to see.

Contro: Nothing at all from the Locanda. If visiting at a weekend in high season it is worth booking into a restaurant in the town ahead of your visit, as there are only two main ones and they get very booked up.

Pro: Amazing place to relax and unwind in the nature. Very peaceful and great location. The house is simply amazing with a great character. The breakfast is just one of a kind, very fresh with local products every day. Marco and his family make sure you feel like home and everything is well taken care of. People like him are rare these days. This place is highly recommended, we would definitely come back!

Pro: A great place for people who love antique old style traditional Italian accommodation. The owner is a great guy, very dedicated to renovating the house and bring it back to the original splendour

Perfect

Pro: Everything about this place is perfect. Marco is an amazing host who makes you feel at home. His place is on top of the hill with a stunning view. Big and comfortable bad, also the shower is super nice and clean. The breakfast is great. And all is in a 15th century house well preserved.

Beautiful holiday in Viano

Pro: The location is amazing. Located on the top of a little hill on the outskirts of Viano, the house is surrounded by beautiful nature. Often in the mornings you can see deer grazing on the front lawn. Marco is an amazing host. His kindness and hospitality will make your stay memorable. Highly recommend this place.
